Day 1 CHENNAI
Arrival at Chennai. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon city
tour of Chennai visiting Fort St. George, Anna Samadhi and Museum.
Overnight stay.
Day 2 CHENNAI - KANCHIPURAM - MAHABALIPURAM
Morning departure for Kanchipuram,one of the seven sacred cities
of India. Then proceed to Mahabalipuram, now at beach resort but
once it had trade and cultural relations with Rome in the west and
south east Asia. Evening relax on the Beach. Overnight stay.
Day 3 MAHABALIPURAM - PONDICHERY
Morning departure for Pondichery. After arrival check in at hotel.
It is the city of many battles fought between British and French
and was capital of French India before it attained independence
in 1954. Afternoon visit Sir Aurbindo's Ashram. Overnight stay.
Day 4 PONDICHERY - CHIDAMBRAM - TANJORE - TRICHY
Morning leave for Chidambram. Proceed to Tanjore which is called
cultural capital of the region. Here visit Brihadeeshwara Temple
built in 10th century. Then finally leave for Trichy and after arrival
check in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5 TRICHY
Morning city tour of Trichy. Visit Rock Fort which is landmark of
the city. Then tour of Srirangam Island. Overnight stay.
Day 6 TRICHY - MADURAI
Morning drive to Madurai. After arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon
city tour of Madurai which has been patterened on the lotus flower
with famous Meenakshi Temple at the centre. The Temple is famous
for gigantic gateway which is 49 mts. high. Overnight stay.
Day 7 MADURAI - PERYAR
Morning leave for Peryar Wild Life Sancturay. Afternoon visit Park
to enjoy wild life and watch wild elephants in their natural habitat.
Overnight stay.
Day 8 PERYAR - KOVALAM BEACH
Morning departure for Kovalam Beach. After a long drive arrive kovalam
beach and check in at the resort. Evening free to relax on the beach.
Overnight stay.
Day 9 KOVALAM BEACH
The whole day free to enjoy sun and sand on the beach. Overnight
stay.
Day 10 KOVALAM BEACH - QUILLON
Morning leave for Quillon. Enroute stop and visit Padmanabhapuram
Temple. Arrive Quillon and from there enjoy backwater cruise upto
Alleppy through a network of canals. Arrive Alleppy. Overnight stay.
Day 11 QUILLON - COCHIN
Morning leave for Cochin. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Cochin
has one of the best natural harbours in the country. Afternoon city
tour of Cochin visiting Dutch palace and St. Francis Church, the
oldest church bulit by Europeans in India. Evening witness one of
the classical dances of South India known as Kathakali. Overnight
stay.
Day 12 COCHIN - OOTY
Morning leave for Ooty. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon
free to explore Ooty, the lush green hill station. Overnight stay.
Day 13 OOTY - MYSORE
Morning departure for Mysore. Arrival and check in at the hotel.
Afternoon city tour of Mysore visiting City Palace,Beautiful Vrindavan
Gardens and Chamundi Temple. Overnight stay.
Day 14 MYSORE - HASSAN
Morning departure for Hassan. Arrival Hassan & check in at the
Hotel. Afternoon tour of Chennakeshawa temple at Belur dating back
to 13th century during Hoyassala dynasty & then visit Hoysaleswar
temple at Helebid. Overnight stay at Hassan.
Day 15 HASSAN - BANGLORE
Morning departure for Banglore. Arrival at Banglore and check in
at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 16 BANGLORE
Transfer to Airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
