NORTH EAST INDIA TOUR
Day 1 BHUBANESHWAR - PURI
Arrival at Bhubaneshwar airport. Welcome and transfer
to hotel in Puri. Rest of the day free to relax on beach. Overnight
stay.
Day 2 PURI
Morning city tour of Puri including the famous Jaganath Temple(Non
Hindus cannot enter the temple complex). Puri is one of the four
main Hindu pilgrim centres in India. Rest of the day free. Overnight
stay.
Day 3 PURI - KONARK - BHUBANESHWAR
Morning leave for Bhubaneshwar. Stop enroute and vist Konark which
is famous for temple chariot of Sun God built in thirteen century.
The entire temple was designed in the shape of a colossal chariot
carrying the sun God pulled by seven horses. The temple is a brilliant
chronicle in stone with thousands of images including deities, heavenly
damsels, human musicians, lovers, dancers and different scenes from
country life.Then proceed to Bhubaneshwar and check in at the hotel.

Day 4 BHUBANESHWAR
Morning city tour of Bhubaneshwar which claimed to have at one time
about 7000 temples. It was for this reason that it was given the
coveted destination as the cathedral city of India. Visit magnificent
temples. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay.
Day 5 BHUBANESHWAR - KOLKATTA
Transfer to airport to catch flight for Kolkatta. After arrival
transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour of Kolkatta visting Victoria
Memorial,museum, Jain temples and Mother Teresa's home. Overnight
stay.
Day 6 KOLKATTA - BAGDOGRA - DARJEELING
Morning transfer to airport to catch flight for Bagdogra. After
arrival transfer to Darjeeling and check in at the hotel. Rest of
the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 7 DARJEELING
Very early morning excursion to Tiger Hill by jeep to have a spectacular
view of sunrise on Himalayas. Afternoon city tour of Darjeeling
visiting mountaineering institute. Lebong race course and tea gardens.
Overnight stay.
Day 8 DARJEELING - PEMAYANGTE - GANGTOK
Morning leave for Pemayangte Monastery founded in 1705 and preached
at a height of 2085 mts. It's the second oldest and perhaps the
most important Moanstery in Sikkim. Continue drive to Gangtok &
upon arrival check in at the Hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight
stay.
Day 9 GANGTOK
Morning city tour of Gangtok which lies at a height of 1520 mts.
It's architectural beauty radiates with Pagoda like houses. Painted
roofs & gay Bazars. Also visit 300 years old Rumtek Monastery
which is 24 kms. from Gangtok. Overnight stay.
Day 10 GANGTOK - KALIMPONG
Morning leave for Kalimpong & after arrival check in at the
hotel. Kalimpong is an ideal holiday resort because of its blamy
climate throughout the year, Kalimpong is also well known for its
colorful people inheriting a lifestyle that has blending of social
& cultural influnces of Tibet,Sikkim,Nepal,& Bhutan. Drive
to old Bhutanese ruins & go shopping for interesting Souvenirs.

Day 11 KALIPONG - BAGDOGRA
Morning transfer to Bagdogra Airport to catch flight for onward
destination.
